Help from across the pond, please?

Postby shakermaker » Sat May 15, 2010 12:12 am

Hi All

The Big Mabungoes over here are looking for some help from our US based chums

We're looking for one of those fold-out "STOP" signs that you see on the side of school buses, with a motor?

Anyone got one, or can find one at a low low price they're willing to post across to us here, to be paid via PayPal?

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm...I'll keep an eye out for one for ya. Can't say I've seen em come up for sale much. If you find one on ebay US you can have it shipped to me and I'll send it to you. We have a team from Scottland on the BABE rally this year, maybe I could send it back across the pond with them.

Just noticed that the local heavy truck junkyard has a few school buses with what you are looking for. I will give them a call and see how much they want.

Possibly more than you want to spend. $100.

Yes, that is more than I want to spend really!

Thank you for looking. Can you steal one? (a whole bus???) Would pay the cost for a set of bolt cutters?

Bolt cutters not necessary as the fence is nothing spectacular. The dogs are another story however.

Any of these any good?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ICE-CREME-TRUCK-SCH ... 3a5b4da775

If so let me know and I can give you my address so you can get it shipped to me. I head accross the pond in a few weeks and could then post it on.

Talked with another heavy truck junkyard guy that I know and he has a friend who cuts up school buses and he is going to try and get me one for free. I have no idea on the time frame or even it will happen, but will let you know.

Imformational on the bigger busses the sign is air powered. (busses have Air brakes) need to look on 9-15 passenger buses.
Gotta stop accumulating BABE cars.

Of course you can! eBay accounts aren't country specific, you use same log on for .co.uk .com .es anything, if you look at any item just change the top level domian bit and hey presto its in a different language :D

Not all sellers will post internationally, so I would contact the sellers and see, plus get the rates. Like I said I am happy to bring one back to the U.K. mid June.

US sellers are amazingly reluctant to ship to Europe, I found out last year. I was really surprised by it, actually.
